What happens if my PgMP application is rejected?
PMI emails you the reasons your experience summaries were not accepted, and gives you one chance to amend them and resubmit. If the second submission is also not accepted, PMI closes the application and refunds your exam fee.
Each panel review takes about 60 days, and the resubmission takes about the same again. So a rejection costs you a rewrite and a few months. It does not cost you your fee, and it does not bar you from applying again later.
It also is not a judgement on your career. The panel never sees your name, your employer or your title. They read what you wrote and decide whether it describes a programme. Most rejections are a writing problem sitting on top of real programme experience.

What PMI gives you
One amended submission, so everything you change has to count the first time.

Each panel review
Plan your dates around it. Nothing moves faster because you ask.
Your fee back
If the second one fails
PMI closes the application and refunds the exam fee, so a rejection does not cost you money.
30 days
To appeal in writing
The window to challenge a decision, if the process itself went wrong. It closes quickly.
