Why PgMP® certification?
The Program Management Professional (PgMP®) is PMI’s senior-level credential for leaders who manage multiple related projects to achieve strategic business outcomes. It signals that you operate above the project level — aligning initiatives to organisational strategy, managing benefits realisation, and governing cross-functional programs.

PgMP® is not a bigger PMP®
The PMP® validates your ability to deliver projects. The PgMP® validates a completely different skill — leading programs that deliver strategic outcomes. It requires a shift from deliverables to benefits, from scope control to strategic alignment, from managing work to governing outcomes.
This mentorship is built around that shift — using your real program experience as the foundation.
Who is this for?
Senior program managers
You already manage programs — this mentorship structures your experience into the framework PMI expects on the exam.
Directors and VPs
You govern multiple initiatives at the strategic level. PgMP formalises what you already do and opens the next career door.
PMPs ready to move up
You’ve led projects successfully and now manage or are transitioning to programs. This is the structured path from PMP to PgMP.

Personalised, not generic. Every session is built around your actual program — your stakeholders, your governance challenges, your benefits map. No one-size-fits-all content.
Taught by a practitioner. Kavita has managed programs at Microsoft and Sapient, contributed to PMBOK® 6 & 8, and mentored hundreds of PgMP candidates. She teaches decision-making, not memorisation.
Application and panel coaching included. The PgMP application is notoriously complex. Kavita helps you write it, structure your program descriptions, and prepare for the PMI panel review — the step most candidates fear most.
Mentorship continues until you pass. The 30-day plan is the structured sprint. But if you need more time, Kavita stays with you until you are exam-ready — not just for 30 days.
The Kavita Sharma Assurance
Follow the structured plan and your PgMP® success is guaranteed. Mentorship continues until you are exam-ready — not just for 30 days. This is a partnership, not a course.

Frequently asked questions
What is PgMP® certification?
The Program Management Professional (PgMP®) is PMI’s advanced credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as a coordinated program to achieve strategic and organisational benefits. It is held by the top 1% of PMI credential holders worldwide and signals senior strategic leadership capability.
What is the difference between PMP® and PgMP®?
PMP validates your ability to deliver individual projects — managing scope, schedule, and cost. PgMP validates your ability to lead programs — aligning multiple projects to strategic objectives, managing benefits realisation, and governing cross-functional outcomes. PgMP operates at a higher organisational level than PMP.
Who is eligible for the PgMP® exam?
You need a secondary degree + 4 years of project management experience + 7 years of program management experience, or a four-year degree + 4 years of project management experience + 4 years of program management experience. The PgMP also requires a panel review of your application before you can sit the exam.
What is the PgMP® panel review?
After submitting your application, PMI convenes a panel of PgMP holders to review your program descriptions and verify your experience. This is the step most candidates find most challenging — and the step this mentorship specifically prepares you for with application writing support and panel-readiness coaching.
How long does it take to prepare for PgMP®?
With this mentorship, the structured plan is 30 days. Some candidates with deep program experience complete it in 21 days. Others take up to 90 days depending on their schedule. The mentorship continues until you are ready — the timeline adapts to you.
Is the PgMP® exam difficult?
The PgMP exam tests program-level decision making, not memorisation. Questions are scenario-based and require you to think as a program manager — considering benefits realisation, strategic alignment, and stakeholder governance. The mentorship develops exactly this thinking through personalised coaching on your real program.
What if I don’t pass?
Mentorship continues until you are exam-ready. The Kavita Sharma Assurance means you are not left on your own after 30 days — the support continues until you pass.
Do I need PMP® before PgMP®?
PMP is not a formal prerequisite for PgMP. However, most PgMP candidates hold PMP or equivalent experience. If you are still at the project management level, the PMP class may be a better starting point before pursuing PgMP.
Is PgMP® worth it for my career?
PgMP holders earn on average 30% more than PMP holders (PMI Salary Survey). The credential signals strategic leadership capability and is increasingly required for Director, VP, and PMO leadership roles. Fewer than 1% of PMI credential holders hold the PgMP — it sets you apart from the field.
How is this mentorship different from a PgMP course?
Most PgMP courses deliver generic lectures to a group. This is 1-on-1 mentorship — every session is built around your actual program, your stakeholders, and your governance challenges. Kavita teaches you to think at the program level using your own experience, not someone else’s case study. Application and panel coaching are included. And mentorship continues until you pass.
Can I start anytime?
Yes. This is a start-anytime mentorship. Once you enrol, Kavita schedules your first session based on your availability. The 30-day plan begins from your Day 1, not a fixed calendar date.
