Is PgMP worth it for project managers?
Yes, if you want to grow beyond single projects. PgMP® is PMI’s highest credential. It shows employers you can lead many projects toward one goal. Program roles pay more, carry more influence, and are harder for AI to replace.
Can I do PgMP if my title is not 'program manager'?
Yes. PMI looks at your work, not your title. If you have coordinated related projects, budgets, or teams toward one outcome — as a project manager, operations manager, or consultant — that experience can count. Kavita helps you map it correctly in your application.
When does the workshop start, and how does it run?
The workshop starts on 7 November 2026 and runs for four weeks. There is one live group session each week — a mix of open discussion and a running case study. Between sessions you study guided modules at your own pace, with on-demand group mentoring when you need help. Enroll on the enrollment page.
What are the PgMP eligibility requirements?
With a four-year degree: 4 years of project management experience (or an active PMP®) plus 4 years of program management experience. With a secondary diploma: 4 years of project management plus 7 years of program management experience. All within the last 15 years.
What is the PgMP exam format?
170 multiple-choice questions in 240 minutes (4 hours). You can take it online or at a test centre. Before the exam, PMI does a panel review of your experience.
Is help with the PgMP application included?
Yes. Application filling is a core part of the workshop — Kavita helps you write your experience in words PMI accepts, reviews it, and guides you through what the panel looks for. For most people this is the hardest part, so it sits at the heart of the workshop.
What is the PgMP panel review, and will I get guidance?
After you apply, a panel of certified PgMPs reviews your program experience before PMI approves you for the exam. Yes — the workshop includes clear guidance on how the panel reads your application and how to present your experience, based on Kavita’s own panel review and years of helping candidates through it.
Will AI replace program managers?
AI is taking over task work — schedules, tracking, reports. It cannot lead people, weigh trade-offs, or own results. That is program-level work. Moving up to program leadership is one of the most practical ways to stay ahead of AI.
How does the on-demand group mentoring work?
When doubts pile up, you join a group session. PgMP aspirants and certified PgMPs solve doubts together. Sessions run on demand — help comes when you need it, not on a fixed calendar. It is included in the workshop.
Can I do this while working full-time?
Yes. It is designed for exactly that. One group session a week, guided modules that fit your evenings or weekends, group mentoring on demand, and recordings so you never fall behind.
Does this count toward PgMP training hours?
Yes. The workshop meets PMI’s formal training hour requirement, and you receive a PDU certificate when you finish.
How much does the workshop cost?
Current pricing and offers are always on the enrollment page. The fee covers the weekly group sessions, case study, application and panel review help, guided modules, group mentoring, mock exams, and 12-month access. PMI’s exam fee (US$800 members / US$1,000 non-members) is paid separately to PMI.
