2. What are other certifications in the market

Agile certifications 
CSM, AGILE PM, and SAFE are a few certifications that can be looked at if you work in the software domain.
Other Project management Certifications
PRINCE2 is also a good certification to go for. It has a proven methodology and most European companies follow the Prince 2 methodology to manage projects and programs.
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
CAPM is an entry-level certification. If you do not qualify for PMP (36 months of managing projects) then go for CAPM.

3. What are the costs involved for PMP Certification

As of today, while writing this, June 2022. 
The PMP exam fee is $555 for non-PMI members and $405 for PMI members. PMI membership is $129 a year. Better to be a member and take the exam.
Apart from these two, you will have to shell out fee to get 35 PDU (The education requirement) to become eligible for PMP.
So the total fee is 405+129 + Training fee (299-2000 USD)

4. Am I eligible for PMP Certification

·       35 hours of PMP training aligned with PMI specifications.
·       36 months of project experience, leading and managing them.
·       16 years of education

5. Is PMP certification difficult?

·       Total duration of the exam: 230 mins
·       Breaks: 2 breaks of 10 mins (Optional)
·       Total Questions: 180 Questions
PMP  exam tests you on knowledge but also on skills and patience. The questions use project scenarios (Big scenarios).
You will be assessed on 3 domains:
·       People,
·       Process (Scope, Budget, Time, Risk, Procurements) and
·       Business Environment.
The question can be Scenario questions, Single Select, Multiselect, True/False, and drag and drop.
