Which 60 PDU bundle should I choose?

QUICK ANSWER: PMP renewal has two costs: PMI’s renewal fee — US$60 for members or US$150 for non-members — and whatever you spend earning your 60 PDUs. PDUs can cost $0 (free webinars, reading, volunteering) up to a few hundred dollars for a premium bundle. Because non-members pay $90 more just to renew, PMI membership often pays for itself.
The two costs of renewing your PMP
1. The PMI renewal fee — paid once per three-year cycle when you complete renewal in CCRS:

Should you become a PMI member?
Membership costs an annual fee, but it cuts your renewal fee by $90 ($60 vs $150), unlocks free member PDUs, and discounts other PMI services. If you’ll renew and use any member benefits, membership frequently nets out cheaper — and it makes the “all-free PDUs” route far more practical.
The cheapest realistic way to renew
- Be a PMI member (lower renewal fee + free PDUs).
- Earn free PDUs from member webinars, reading, and volunteering — but track the Talent Triangle minimums (8 each).
- Pay only the $60 renewal fee.
Total: as little as the $60 fee plus your membership — if you have the time to assemble and log 60 free PDUs correctly.
The fastest way (worth the small spend)
If your renewal date is close, or you’d rather not hunt for scattered free hours, a pre-approved 60-PDU bundle covers all 60 PDUs, guarantees the Talent Triangle minimums, and comes with guided reporting.
