How to report PDUs on PMI CCRS step by step 2026

QUICK ANSWER: You report PDUs through the CCRS (Continuing Certification Requirements System) on PMI.org. Log in, choose Report PDUs, pick the activity type, enter the provider, activity name, dates, and PDUs by Talent Triangle area, then submit. Pre-approved course PDUs are usually accepted automatically. Once you’ve logged all 60 PDUs for your three-year cycle, you pay the renewal fee to complete your PMP renewal.

Before you start: what you’ll need

  • Your PMI.org login.
  • For each activity: the provider/name, dates, hours (PDUs), and which Talent Triangle area it falls under.
  • For pre-approved courses: the activity ID / provider code (your course provider gives you this).

Step-by-step: reporting a PDU

  1. Log in to PMI.org and open CCRS.
  2. Click Report PDUs.
  3. Choose the activity category — most commonly Course or Training (Education).
  4. Enter the activity details: provider/organization, activity title, and start/end dates.
  5. Enter the PDUs by Talent Triangle area. Split the hours into Ways of Working, Power Skills, and/or Business Acumen. For a pre-approved course, use the breakdown your provider gives you.
  6. Agree to the claim statement and submit. Pre-approved activities are typically accepted automatically; self-reported ones may be audited.
  7. Repeat until your cycle total reaches 60 PDUs, meeting the minimum 8 in each area and at least 35 Education overall.

Step-by-step: completing your renewal

  1. CCRS confirms you’ve met the requirement once you reach 60 PDUs.
  2. Apply your PDUs to the renewal and confirm the cycle.
  3. Pay the renewal fee — US$60 for members, US$150 for non-members.
  4. You’ll receive confirmation and a new three-year cycle begins.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Leaving a Talent Triangle area short. CCRS won’t complete renewal until each side has its minimum 8 PDUs.
  • Waiting until the last week. Give yourself buffer in case an activity needs correcting or an audit request lands.
  • Weak records for self-reported PDUs. Keep dates, provider, hours, and area for reading, podcasts, and volunteering.
  • Assuming your job covers it. “Working as a practitioner” is capped at 8 PDUs.
